    First bay trip report

    Hi all

Thanks for the replies to my post last week about spitfire channel.

Got out early sat am, no livies to be found so trolled a couple of halco's. Early on 1 got smashed by im guessing a spanish judging by the width of the teeth marks and size of the hit on the lure when pulled back in, that was all the action for the day.

The were heaps of macs and blueys out there chasing whitebait but in one of those moods where that is all they would chew, except for 1 guy in a tinny i saw hooked up for about 45 min, i am guessing on a livey to a bluey.

Chucked slugs till my arm fell off and trolled all over the shop for zip, nice day to be out there though and definatley better than work.

Mike, took the extra fuel and came home 30ltrs up wich will do the car for the week.

Scalem, heard you log on tried to give u a call round 11-11.30 but no answer.

Highlight of the day......... sitting in car lovers que for over an hour roasting my butt off then the deckies phone rings........her brother caught (and released) a black round 60-70kgs on a gang hooked pillie off the goldy on a $100 rod/reel combo.

By this stage trading my gear for a set of golf clubs was looking real good. But went home and saw my friend.......beer .

Beer helped me through this time of despair and i am now thinking about the next catastrophy..............

    cheers

    Mick
