With the new moon approaching, another squire session was in order. Just chris and I on saturday, with chris's mate dave joining us sunday and our sister and her partner daz turning up sunday morning too.
Saturday all the fish must have been off drinking guinness because they certainly weren't where chris and I fished. One 45cm flatty to chris for our 6hrs.
Sunday we had lines in the water by 4:30am, and shortly after that we had 3 fish in the boat 37, 40 and 42 cms, the biggest to dave, and the other two to me. As the tide picked up the bite dropped off and we only managed two more over the next few hours, another 40+ and a healthy 55cm to chris. After the turn to run out, dave and I had a double hook up which resulted in two undersize grassies, lines out opposite sides of the boat. By 11:30 we called it a day but not before adding another just under 40 cm with the call for last casts. Steph and daz boated two fish, stephs her first pinky on plastic, went just over 40cms and daz did well with another 50cm+. 8 fish between 5 people. Home just after lunch time, snooze and snapper for dinner... man I'm full.
