I headed out to Curtin for the first time early this morning to try and get away from all the traffic on the waterYeah right
I made an attempt at anchoring up just north of all the parked boats but the current was running so hard I missed my target. I pulled up the anchor and had a second go with much more success.
I then realised that I didn't have any big leads in my boat that would get my bait downI ended up raiding my tackle box for the biggest leads I had and put a hand full of them on, but even then I still couldn't get to the bottom
The current eventually started to slow and my bait finally made it down to where all the critters on the sounder were showing. Within minutes..bamm.. I was on! 38cm snapp. I think the lead I was using weighed moreI felt sorry for the poor thing so I let him go
Anyway, it was a good be out on the water with such good weather.
