After a lot of research and budget consideration I am leaning towards a Humminbird 757C GPS sounder combo.
Does anyone have any experience with this unit or the 755C?

Also, I have been checking out pricing OS in the US, and as suggested elsewhere in this forum it is much cheaper, although at the cost of local servicing.
I have noticed though that the various mapping cards work out around the same price or very similar to prices here in Australia.
Interesting that a large mark up exists on the hardware but not the software. The IT industry used to operate in the same fashion, but worked out they were going to go out of business unless they could compete with global pricing on similar goods. Same with home entertainment.
