seems to be alot of cod coming out of the river, never caught one in all the years i fished it .good sign ,might land one with luck.cheers alex
Its always a little mad at this time of year and the start of the rugby season but on young Garretts second game of the year ,and dislocates his shoulder .Three months off football at least and the poor bloke can't hold a fishing rod while his arm is in the sling. So i had a little session around the river ,throwing a few placcies around on a little solo trip. Beautiful morning with only a few fish but 15 mins of huff and puff on 3 kg before i got colour on this bloody cattie, no way i would have called it with the show it put on

Some variety there Chief, thats a horse catfish you got and i can imagine how hard it went.
Sorry to hear your deckie is out of action for awhile but aleast you can tell him they will be bigger next time he gets out there.
Have caught some monster cattie's around Green this last month up to 6 kilo.
Had to give chase to prevent being spooled.
What plastic did the bream take?
Cheers Brent

G/day Brent, Sqidgey wriggler in flash prawn with a dash of stimulate did the trick for the bream. Also picked up 2 squire but they were only around 30 mm . All fish released today to fight another day.

c'mon, take the bait....
So the young fella did get a few months on the side hey. When I chatted to him he was an optimist.
I've done mine twice and if there was a third time I'd have to get the knife. One was so bad I actually tore the trapezius muscle off my shoulder blade. That was NSW with some big boys running around. (What the hell was I doing out there I know). Heard the backs a re getting better tho.
Some nice fish too. You been persisting with the plakkies and getting the rewards mate. Nice to see. Have to catch up soon and hit the river mouth.
Cheers,
Richie
