    Garmin FF140

    Want to mount a second sounder on the bow/casting deck. The Garmin FF140 has a shallow wide beam setting of 45 deg.

    Anyone have experience with these wide beam sounders/fish finders & shallow water use?

    hhhmmm not too many replies here for you, but I have a 240 in my tinnie, (I think it is the same as the 140 but more pixels, but not positive) and it goes fine in almost any depth (or so it seems) so for what it is worth, thats my thoughts for you, maybe you can find out if the 140 and 240 are the same?

    The 240 & 340 both have the 45 deg. wide beam for shallow water.
