    Mack Attack

After 2 months of no fishing, Taipan offered to take me out from the twin cities(my new home) early yesterday morning to chase some doggies around the shipping channel.

With an early start Tiapan showed me the way by landing his first legal schoolie on his 3rd cast (around 5.45-6ish). There was a lot of action around, stacks of baitfish and near perfect conditions. By 9.30- 10 we had 8 legal schoolies in the boat, plus the undersized specimens and began playing the catch and release game. during the day we would have landed around 25-30 fish... with the majority (about 90%) of the fish being landed by the skipper. I guess there's nothing like a bit of local knowledge.

Thanks heaps for the trip Corey. I was starting to get serious withdrawl symptoms.

Hey Fisher. Good to see NQ agrees with ya. The possibilities are endless up that way.
I'm always itching when I head up Cairns. Spearing, fishing, snorkelling. It's got it all. Looking fwd to more reports now that you are settled champ.
