Ok was targeting the sharks cos I dont get a chance to go offshore fishin and wanted the chance to hook up something decent with a good fight.
The tackle I used on that rod was info givin to me from the salesman who also apparantley operates a fishing charter as well. But will buy some smaller hooks to try. I probably should have driven somewhere else but was told that the spot I was at was good for sharks. I figured sharks might be a longer waiting game. So Ok move around more.
Burley is the other thing I will be setting up better. Gotta make up a burley bucket and attach a rope to it. I should be able to swing it as far as i can cast the penn gear.
My other outfit which is an alvey setup I really only took as an extra for something to do anyway and I realised the bait probably wasnt suitable. I dont have a spin combo at the moment. Might look into it. Also depends on finances and my lovely wife. I do have a baitcaster though so the soft plastics I havent really had a good look at might be given a go. I did buy some about 8 or 9 years ago. ForceTen brand but maybe I should ditch em and get some newies.
