I've never used it forbream bait, I used to use it to trap Australian rainbows on fish sampling outings with ANGFA.I have heard of people using chicken breast for years and have used it myself at times with mixed success.
Since when do small fish (bream whiting and flatties) get the chance to eat a chook
The first time I got the misses to coook some nice fresh chicken..useless.
I whinged at who told me to use it, and they told me it had to be KFC and the fattier thebetter.
seems to be that one of the 11 secret herbs and spices happens to be anaseed.
I went from empty fish traps to capturing entire schools of small fish simply by swapping to KFC. It became the family joke as we travelled out into the hills on weekends to catch some fish for aquariums, that we;d pull into a KFC drive through as soon as they opened, and ask "one single pievc eof chicken please"
they'd ask "any particular piece sir?"
"No thanks, just the fattier the better"
then the car fullof us would rive off with a single fatty piece of KFC. No joke but, in small fish, it's deadly. Definately the anaseed.
cheers
