Re: Bream on th gold coast?

I have heard of people using chicken breast for years and have used it myself at times with mixed success.
Since when do small fish (bream whiting and flatties) get the chance to eat a chook
I've never used it forbream bait, I used to use it to trap Australian rainbows on fish sampling outings with ANGFA.
The first time I got the misses to coook some nice fresh chicken..useless.
I whinged at who told me to use it, and they told me it had to be KFC and the fattier thebetter.

seems to be that one of the 11 secret herbs and spices happens to be anaseed.

I went from empty fish traps to capturing entire schools of small fish simply by swapping to KFC. It became the family joke as we travelled out into the hills on weekends to catch some fish for aquariums, that we;d pull into a KFC drive through as soon as they opened, and ask "one single pievc eof chicken please"
they'd ask "any particular piece sir?"
"No thanks, just the fattier the better"
then the car fullof us would rive off with a single fatty piece of KFC. No joke but, in small fish, it's deadly. Definately the anaseed.

    cheers

6lb braid, 50cm 10lb mono trace, soft plastic, I prefer either a red glitter coluor or pumkin seed with a good tail action, flick it up against any structure - boat hull, jetty/pontoon, bridge pylon and let it sink with a few light sideways flicks with the rod tip, I find they usually allmost allways hit the plastic on its way down the structure.
    Winter is best

    hello to all
one of the best ways i have found to get bream (when I go shark fishing in the rivers) bread, bread and more bread, now if they is any bream around big or small you will know sooner than you think,
    from spook

soft plastics...flick em up current of a moored boat or yacht and let the plastic swim down undernearth the boat. small flicks as it works its way along with the current. this tactic can work just about anywhere...just have to find the right boat

Lived on a canal at Paradise Point for the last 8 years and found the best consistant bait for HORSE BREAM is herring dead or alive hooked through the back of the head (you'll find every bite is behind the head) with a #1 92247 mustard and a 00 ball sinker sitting on top of the hook, fished deep or under the oldest crappiest oyster encrusted boat you can find. Big fish all year round (1kg +).......... not as much action but big ar$ed fish every time. May-August big Blue-Nose Bream come in to spawn and love a bit of steak at night (not daylight hours). I've also had major successes during the day using the same simple rig using cooked prawn heads (throw the rest away.. lol) but make sure the point of the hook protrudes out around the legs, you can even semi-peel the head if they're a bit finniky...................hope it helps
