    Hey Brent

Yes, i must say that i still have a lot to learn about Mud and i'm none the wiser after yesterday to be honest! I'm assuming that fish was taken on the western side of Mud?

We fished all sides and eventually ended up with a sweetie and 4 Tailor before going to Green on the way home and getting 4 Squire to 47cm. There sure was plenty of baitschools hanging there on the ledge!

I really must get to Mud with someone who has a bit of knowledge of the area as there is so much ground to cover! Oh well, next time i guess...

Nice catch there guys, well done. Weather was pretty sweet today. Do you find Green goes even better in the winter?

Hi T1, Mate i'm still trying to work Mud Island out myself.
It can be on fire at certain times and very quiet aswell.
Ive always managed a feed there on the early morning tides before sunrise but there are exceptions to the rule with my mates pulling in good snapper around mid moring and in the arvo.
My biggest fish from Mud has only been 4 kilo so i have a long way to go to find that 10 kilo fish.
I prefer fishing Wello and Green because although the squire are not monsters they are a good eating size and i was told by a guy who fishes mud to leave the bigger breeders alone.
He regulary catches and releases fish to 9 kilo.
Its no crime to take a trophy snapper but i can see his point.

Murph77......Mate i have only just started to concentrate my efforts on squire over at Green after fishing Wello for a number of winter snapper seasons so i hope green fires even better than Wello.

Tinn.... Its going to be another great snapper season i can just tell.

    Cheers Brent
