correct trailer setup, skids rollers etc
hi, im just wondering how to correctly setup my trailer, i have a 4.2m vee tinny the trailer has 2 skids and 3 rollers down the keel, the hull is quite bowed from what looks like incorrect skid placement and possibly the other rollers are wrong as well? when the boat get winched up it looks like the skids taking a fair bit of weight.
the hull is getting its bow taken out next week and id like to set the trailer up right so this doesnt happen again can someone please tell me the correct position and height for the skids and rollers?
thankyou.

keel rollers take the load of the boat, side skids are there to stabilize only. IMO it does hurt to have a mil or so clearance on the skids. Also dont use the boat as a trailer, tinnies are designed to have the pressure exerted onto the outside of the hull, like when they sit in the water, The less in the boat when on the trailer the better.
cheers
