Re: coffs harbour fishing club help?

I answered your mackeral post earlier as I fish out of Coffs. I use the clubs facilities to clean my fish from time to time.

I'm a member of a club up north where I do most of my fishing, I havn't got the time for another club.

I do know the club well , I've been there for a presentation night.

It's got a very good reputation locally.

    fishingc@tpg.com.au or call 02 5266 1534.

    Good luck

As a Coffs area resident, highly recomend the Deep Sea Fishing Club.
Great facilities, very high profile in the town, well respected establishment.
The comp of which you speak is I believe between two affiliated Clubs, ie the Deep Sea versus the Game Fishers.
Check Saturdays (10th March) Advocate, details are on the fishing page under Coffs Game Fishing Club news, comp is held over the post Anzac Day w/e I think.
If you ring the Dea Sea F/C they will no doubt give you more details.
Cheers and welcome to Coffs, great time to arrive in the area, fishing is set to go off, we all hope!

Nothing wrong with the club. Only problem is they let me become a member.

There is a monthly comp fot Deep Sea, Game fishing and Beachrockestuary. Dont quote me but after initial fees for joining the club (very cheap and cheapest beers in town once you have a card) its around $25 to join the Deep sea club. This gives you access to wash down facilities and undercover cleaning tables. Pretty good really.

After that each month its 5 bucks for the sunday comp. Usually $600 in prizes each month and no-one doubles up on species so most people get prizes. That helps special people like me to win things. Very friendly and well worth a look. Just drop into the club anytime and someone will help you out.

Your just in time for the Easter Fishing Classic. Big comp. Should be lots of fish about because I saw none out there today. They must be saving themselves.

Just PM me for more info...Like I said dont quote my figures. Pretty close though.

    Cheers Richard
