Gold Coast Tailor

hey everyone i know its abit early yet but was wondering when tailor start to come around in good numbers on the headlands off the gold coast. I live near burliegh and was wondering if you can catch decent tailor off burliegh headlands. any help would be greatly appreciated.

June seems to be a good time to start.

I am now living in Townsville but every year i would get on the sand pumping jetty with 65,000 others and a bag of pillies to thread on my 3/0 gang hooks.

Just as the sun goes down they appear and everyone is frantically catching a few. After 10 minutes its all over and evberyone waits for the next wave.

Hated the crowds but did get a feed of tailor. Love the way tailor hit a bait.
