    Fuel Flow Tranducer Mounting

    Hi Guys,

I am about to install a Navman Fuel Flow tranducer and am wondering what ideas are out there for mounting the tranducer. The instruction manual states that the tranducer must be vertical, but I thought that I read a post from another Ausfisher saying that it wasn't and issue being horizontal. Thanks for the help.

can be mounted eeither way but vertical quickly allows any air bubbes to clear that otherwise will give eratic and inaccurate readings.

simply, verical is best, horizontal not as good but will work

I had mine mounted horizontal and it gave wacky readings, as Mark221263 says air bubbles must be able to get out or you get screwed up readings

I ended up mounting it vertically in a bed of sikaflex under the rear casting deck. It appears to be solid as a rock now that it has dried. I was hesitant to mount the transducer this way but I really didn't have any other option in the end.

dont worry dicko it will only work for a little while, about 1 week out of warranty then it will break.
