Hervey Bay Info

Hey everyone,
I live on the gold coast and will be getting my first car very shortly (can't wait). My friend and i would like to drive up to hervey bay for a week of land based fishing during my school holidays. i was just wondering what i could catch. I have also heard Uranga peir is the best land based location is this true. i will be happy to catch basically anything that will hit a lure. Any help would be much appreciated Thanks Josh.

The Urangan Pier, rock walls at the Boat harbour, big variety of fish to catch. Sweeties, macs, trevs, bream, flathead, whiting you name it you can catch it up there from land base.

It has to be one of the best locations in SE Qld for vaiety.

thanks for the reply i appreciate it. i have heard there are a descent amount queenies there is this tru or is it just the occasional one? thanks for the help Josh

Mate there is a vast array of fish to be caught at hervey Bay. Theer are a few members live up there.

I am sure they will post when they see your thread. And Mark-P should have some tips when he comes online.
