    scarborough qld

hi guys. does anyone out there fish sp"s around scarborough reef? i've been doing a bit lately and have done alright(for a beginner) on 3" gulp pogy in the sardine colour. they seem to a pretty good impersonation of a hardy head. i was just wondering what techniques others are using in the same area and what kind of results you've been getting.

Hey mate, I haven't fished there for a while now (before I fell in love with SP's) but I have heard of people using Sp's and catching flathead, bream and squire there (off and on)
I'm hoping to get a kayak soon so if I do I will be out there armed with the SP's

    Cheers, Mick.

    Matkin.
In the colder months you will get nice squire and even the odd snapper around those coffee rock reefs all along the Peninsular foreshore from North reef to Woody Point.
I use a large Berkley Gulp in pumpkinseed and they seem to like them.
There are also estuary cod, flathead, yellowtail on those reefs and as someone found out the other day a fair sized Tiger shark. 5 foot is big to me!
    All the best
