Confused

Ok was just looking through the QLD DPI&F web site and came accross this.

"No fish can be taken from Obi Obi Creek all year round between the Baroon Pocket Dam wall and the shortest line across the creek at the southern bank of Skenes Creek."

What does the taken mean. Does it mean you cannot take any fish to keep from this stretch of water ie c&r only or does it mean you are straight out not allowed to fish there. Might have to send them an email.

Pritty sure that last time I was at baroon the map stated that fishing is not allowed in that area and upper obi obi creek.

Yeh thats what i thought, hence the confusion i'll send them an email tomorrow.

technically speaking when you catch a fish you are in the process of 'taking' it from the river/creek. Whether or not you plan to release it is another issue all together.

Though I do agree, if this is the case, that the law could of been written more clearly...that way there is no grey area left to interpretation.
