    Dodging Cruiseboats

Headed out to mud 4am this morning. Trip out was good. Not a touch till 530 then whallop. Got bricked by a giant headshaker that was doing about 100kph. Then the bites really started, millions of mozzies & really big suckers. 530 till 615 the bite was non stop. QE2 sailed in. Who cares more interested in the fishing. Ended up with 1 @ 50, 1 @ 46 & 1 @ 41 & let a few go on the way. These are all babies compared to the on that bricked me. It's all good. Might go back tomorrow.

I was out there today too, but not as early as you. Not a thing using the plastics. Tried old faithful squid .A little cod took it before it even got to the bottom. Was undersize so went back, but it's better than going home without catching anything . If anyone wants to give me some advise re plastics I'm all ears Yet to land a fish using them

Could see the Cruise ship from Wello. Certainly looked big even from where we were. Good on you for at least getting some pinkies.

Any luck at Wello Poodroo? I had my first ever fish there 6-7.30am, couple of good runs, though no boated keepers. Grinners aplenty.

Not really mate. We only boated one keeper and one which went just under so he went back to fight another day. They just didn't want to play the game but that's the way it goes. The last time we were there prior to this trip we were getting bricked by unstoppables. How the conditions can change is amazing.
