Can anyone let me know how Somerset fished over the weekend? I am planning on going there is 2 week's time for the weekend, but am concerned the water level is too low???
Can you launch OK from Kirkleigh camping area? What is the water level like?
Thanks,
Fishing was a bit hard....there was about 140 anglers in the comp ....l came 11th with three fish...They weighed 4.2 kg all up so yes a bit hard....
Launching your boat from the bank at Kirkleagh is easy, most of the fish are at the other end of the dam though. Try hopping Masks & rolling Sliders in 18 to 28ft near The Spit and keep your lures on the bottom. Wide of Queen St is worth a go as well. Troll for yellows along the steep banks with deep divers.
Thanks Awoonga and M62 - appreciate the help.
