    Eungella

Took the new rig for a drive up to Eungella to see if the water made the boat ramp as its been a few years since they put the concreat ramp in and the water has never been close to it. The place looks alive again with the surounding hills ect green as. Its great to see. And the water is up th the ramp.

No worries Neil, next time ill take the tinny and wet a line for sure. Im wondering how much the fish will have spread out. Last trip up there a week before the rain we caught some great sootys off the rock wall using squidgy grubs on tt revheads and shads. We actually caught more there then in the timber. The kids had a ball. Had trouble getting them to go home. Might even talk to the missus and go camp up there in a few weeks.

On a slightly different note, you might remember a bloke i took barra chasing from Victoria. Well before he returned home he managed several barra out of my tinny with two well over 1100. Well the other night i got a call out of the blue from him to see if id like to be his fishing partner in the Lake mulwala Cod Invitational comp at the end of March. Let me think about that,,, MMMMMMMMM OK. Its a three day comp with the fourth day a dash for cash. How could i say no. The entry fee has been payed and my flight tickets booked and payed for. Haveing only just taken ten days off work to go fishing i was unsure if the boss would let me have more time off. I told him the plan and he reckons sounds like a good thing and yep i could have the time off. What a Great boss. And my boss at home(Helen) had no objections either.
    Well got to go.
    Catch ya later.

I'm sure we'll be getting up there again sooner than later ourselves. I guess the Barra will take some sorting out in the newly drowned banks but the Sooties should fire up in the timber!!

That's what I like about this caper, the friends that are made and fishn options that can be opened up. The Cod will suck you in and you'll want to go back and do it again
