I've read a few of your Cairns reports. Used to live at Yorkeys myself - really miss getting home from work, walking down the beach and catching barra. One day I might be able to persuade my wife to move back up there.

I live on the southside at Drewvale, near Calamvale.

I mainly fish the Gold Coast but I do venture over the north side for a fish every now and then. Don't know about as far north as Noosa though!

I am always keen for a fish, PM me next time you need a deckie and I'll see if I can make it.

Where do you live and normally fish? and do you always catch jacks like that

Same thing happend to a mate of mine, the deckie (unknowingly) unhooked the safety chain and strap before my mate backed the boat down the ramp and the boat shot off into the middle of the river

Same here, except it was my boat, I was the dumb deckie and the boat didn't actually reach the water.....dammit
