Just wondering if anyone knows WTH this is?? I caught in about 20mtrs of water at the southern end of Herald Isl off Townsville. Caught heaps of them.

Looks like a goby of some sort.How big.
smallest about 20 and the biggest about 35
I still think Goby,but it might be a bit big for that.Anyone else got a better idea.
possibly some sort of frog fish??? i remember a similar looking fish being ID'd a while back

I have recently bought a book called Aust Fish Guide written by Frank Prokop published by AFN.
After looking at your pic it maybe a Marbled Rockcod.
IF any one else has the book it is on pg 196.
I may be wrong but I never tell the missus that
