It's a tough life but someones gotta do it

Bit of bump on the way out and surfed home

Thumbs up Re: Mud Island 15/02/07

    Hey Gaz,

    Nice to meet you too...
I was supposed to go Mud Island but could not boat against 15 knot easterly...
stuck in Brissy river for 1.5 hours then tried to Green Island for first time via boat passage…
Fished for an half hour and had to forced go back the boat ramp that was how I met you there...
77cm bay snapper is superb and this is my dream to catch one soon...

Heathrow69 , all fish (including the 77 ) caught on plastics, floated a pilly all morning and had to remove it from the hooks myself when it was time to scoot home.

Silent , mate I only got lucky, fish are where you find them I reckon your turn will come just got to do the time.

Yella I can taste it already !!!

Amazing that the quality snapper are still about. That's a nice fish. Nice way to start a day before work. Wish I could do that.

Nice fish. They're great baked on the barbie

If the wind drops, I'll be heading out to Redcliffe Friday early am for 2/3 hours.

Will be trying bait & plastics.

    Mate well done.

Question... Which one of these plastics manfacturers are publicly listed companies? I think with the obvious successes lately, it must be time to invest. I's a sure winner!!

I took a mate out yesterday and first fsih i hooked i passed to him to fight and it turned out to be a 61cm snapper, would have been my best yet, anyway he had a ball fighting squire on light gear, i think we have to remember to only keep say 2 fish per person as we just may kill off what we love to do if we are not carefull.

I spoke to Gaz today and I think he was only fishing 14lb fc leader, can't remember main line but think it was double that

Berkley Gulps were the placcies of choice Gaz? Not sure on the jig head.

A quality bay snap that's for certain, but a little bird told me he had quite a keystone cops episode getting him into the dory. Shall not spoil the fun and will let Gaz tell you....it's a good laugh and would have been a worthy of a home video comp entry. At last count the fish has cost him over the ton

Great fish Gaz and looking forward to a bay fish with ya soon.

    Cheers
    Ren
