    Re: Best Light Mono

my spooling method is what the tackle shop told the ol man years ago.
screwdriver through hole and with full rod on the reel the line on with some tension but not too much (as if it had a small fish on). take the line off as it was wound on.

is this wrong, whats the best way to do it. this twisting drives me up the wall.

I chuck the line into a bucket with water in the bottom and tension the line with my fingers onto the reel - Damyl always been good line and very thin and Platypus good Aussi product also Daiwa Crystal clear if u can still get it

    Hi Neil,

No I've never had this with Super 100. The only time I've experienced it with mono is with 30lb Penn line on a 6500 baitrunner. I've respooled the reel with the same line under a bit more tension and hopefully that'll cure it. I don't do much casting with it so it wasn't really a drama anyway.

    Good luck,
    Mike

Paltypus Platinum first choice Berkely vanish second. it is a monofilament (one strand as opposed to multiple strands) line it just uses a different base for the manufacture
