thanks for the heads up Chief.
Mate and I maybe going out there soon will look out for them.
just had a bad experience with these hughe ass black flys that are around the leaders out from the brissie river. Normally i dont react to horse flys , sand flys etc. but i;ve just met my match.noticed them on the weekend only biting my feet, they are the size of horse fly and don;t they bite. jet black and i can't say i've seen them before. anyway just finished work and went straight to the quacks. unbelieveable itching and my right foot has swoolen like a balloon. Any one else had a run in with these blokes. Being near the port i thought it may be another introduced pest like bloody fire ants, For god sake if you've got kids out there and you see these buggers put some rid or something on the youngsters because this has been unbearable itching and i'd hate to see this happen to one of our young ones , cheers

What did the Doc recommend?

Show me the Snapper!
84 mick the doc didn't know what type of fly they were but mate this foot of mine is still up in size ,and driving me crazy with itch. DaMaGe he said use telfast 180 mg tabs and cortizone cream, sigmacort 1%. I 'm looking on the net for these bloody fly things but haven't found them yet. hey i only post this because i would hate to see some kids bitten by these things. Deffinantly keep your eyes peeled for these and use rid or something. Its really strange that they only attacked my feet and never touched above my ankles, got to be the only living thing attracted to my feet.
