    Moreton Bay Spots

Took Jay out for a quick bay run today to find conditions were better than we had hoped.....around 5 knot SW/SE blowing and many fish to choose from. The spots played the game today and were hungry for our lures. After 20 minutes and 6 in the boat we left them biting and headed off in search of a longtail.........after running around the paddock no joy so headed back to find the spots even more ravenous after the change of tide.

All in all kept 9 between us, lost countless more to bite offs and dubious gaffing techniques

Back at the ramp by midday with fish for dinner for the next few nights

    Cheers

Thumbs up Re: Moreton Bay Spots

That is a stunning result for a stunning day on the water! Well done!

I'd take that catch married to 5 knot conditions any day!

Now, go out and do it again!

Nice catch mate. Rumour tells of the famous Lucky Phills being the weapon of choice. I also hear that J@y woulda caught a whole lot more if it wasn't for your gaffing / knot tying skills ...and you should be banned for mentioning his name here .

Awesome catch well done. I have never caught a spotty cause they always seem to bite through the line. Were you using a wire trace?

    Cheers,
