    has anyone shortened their bimini

when i put my bimini on it sits roughly 7 foot high if not more. thus causing it to sway/ flex allot not to mention look funny.

i'm only a 6footer myself so i want to cut around 10" of it.

can i just cut and repoprivet?

    thanks
    neil

Hi honky dory, went through the same thing - pretty simple if its a 2 bow bimini, 3 or 4 will probably mean that you shorten the two end bows to suit, then take out the intermediates and mark them against the fittings to achieve a taut canopy. Measure at least twice and cut once!

Its the kind of job best done after staring at it for a while, armed with a tin or 3, you'll eventually nut out what needs to happen.
