G'day guys, Has anyone been up along the surf beach fishing? Ive been up there camping last year with nothing caught .
Im keen to do an over nighter depending if the fishing is any good at night?
Mate I get there when I can, but has only been about 5 times a year.
Nearly always during the middle to late in the day.
Have had some great days fishing there, have caught tailor, flathead (lost a big one at my feet!), shovel nose sharks, big stingrays, dart and a lovely squire on a pilly one day. I love it when I'm there, even if I don't catch anything. Just being up that beach with no one else around is magic.
dont bother. the only thing u will catch on he beach is weed, weed and more bloody weed.
Went for a fish 10 days ago at skirmish pt and managed 2 casts before i gave up and went to bongaree jetty. It was ridiculous.
Sounds good LostNearBribie. Where is skirmish point Robsie? I was told that the weed was getting less and less? is the weed in the surf as well? last time I went up there is was great but that was a while ago.
