    Good thread.

    Landbased or in the boat, would do most of my fishing in estuary from boat to get access to land that is not fished too much.

    Been fishing with SP since the early 80's but still learning, think the fish get educated as well.

    Won the odd catch and release comp, but all comes down to getting there before the crowds. Changing your plastic and retrieve to suit the fish on the day.

    A couple of worthwhile hints that have worked for me and the boss (WIFE). Is in shallow water less than a metre and half to retrieve with the rod low and sideways. In deeper water then the rod in the usual position.

    The twitches can be 1 ,2 or three all depends on the day and the species.

      Hey thanks heaps people for all the useful replies. This has been a top learning experience. Hope everyone got something out of it. Might put some of these tips to use on the weekend.

          You could put it to the moderators geebz but I think we have enough sections now as it is to cover everything. Ideas from the members are always good though. If you don't put them forward they will never be known.
