    Brisbane River - Indooroopilly

    Hey guys,
Got a mate who lives on the river in the Indro area and was wondering if there is anything apart from bullies and catties available. Was out on his boat yesterday and looking at all the jetties, along with mangroves and rocks i was thinking bream and jacks etc. Dunno how fresh it is up this far though and whether its a viable prospect. Not after any specific spots just wondering if it would be worth the effort to go and flick softies around the pontoons or to troll some hardbodies.
    Thanks

Anything is worth a go Jackash, with the lack of fresh water coming down the river, tide will push salt water up further than we understand bream to normally be. Have not tried it myself, except we know bullies to be all the way up to colledge's crossing where just short, it is still tidal.

Yeah didnt even really think of that. Have caught the odd breambo at colleges. Might give it a go some time soon. Definitely som big critters out there. Was a feeding freny on the opposite side of the river one night. Big fish hitting the surface, unfortunately i wasnt equipped for anything like that. Dunno what they were. Threadies, trevs or maybe bullies?

ive been fishing off the indro jetty a few times lately and although there is a beautiful little drop off along the bank all we could get was eel and baby bream but saw a post recently where someone caught a thredy there. all i could manage toff the jetty are was some stonker catties and massive pike eels (plus a few shark bust offs) but i think it would worth a decent shot at some bream there as the area looks pretty reasonable
