Rapala Lures - X-raps

Hey All

Just wondering if anyone uses Rapala Lures, especially the x-raps and poppers. What ones work? What species? Hints, tips and other stuff would be helpful.

There was a DVD attached to Modern Fishing ( ?) and there was a guy using them to hit barra, trevally, queenies etc

I bought a silver x-rap SXR-10...looked the most like a baitfish. ;-)

Some people I know got big tuna on the X-Rap.

I use the large shallow diving xraps all the time and they catch large numbers of barra. I have also started using the jointed version and so far they haven't been pulled in half. rapala barra magnums around the trees work well as long as your heart is up to it. I'm not a rapala rep either, I just catch barra on them

Saw those vids on youtube...that's why I got the rapala...the swimming action of the x-rap on the rapala website made me almost want to bite it!

Hey does any1 no where i can buy some rapla x-raps. I can't find them in most tackle shops. I want some rapala x-raps for barra so if some1 can direct me where i can get some, and could give me some advise on what x-raps for barra. I will be a very happy chappy!!

they have a huge range of them at BCF...that's where I got mine from...they are about from about $17 - $29 depending on size.

If anyone knows where I can get them cheaper....let me know I want more!

I just got a couple of these XRaps , also some poppers, will be trying them out of Amity this week, let you know how i go

XRaps seem like very good lures, but you can get RMG/Halcos for near to half the price. I find they are just as good.
