Get them from Bulldog fishing gear...great prices and service...they also have the battery operated one`s as well...they work very well...especially the green...
If you don't mind me asking....... what do you use the light sticks for?
yeah unfortunately those light sticks are bad news! Must have had a bad batch or something because only 2 out of my pack of 5 worked - no wonder they were so cheap!
I have sold glow sticks and from a retail prospective "Don't buy them if kids can touch them".Try to buy them from a store that has them up high or behind the counter because little fingers tend to broke them and some vandals.
Not to say you don't get bad batches but enquiring hands do break things(sum times)
I use light sticks on my shark line and the 12 volt ones tied to my burley bucket when bottom fishing deep...helps attract certain species of fish...works for me....
what kind of sharks do u fish 4
Im sure they ain't as crap as Tica Reels... Now thats what I call Crap!
TT
Hi Andy...School and Gummys love em..one of my commercial tuna fishing buddies used them up north with great results so i gave them a try for him on the sharks and scale fish here...it improved my catch heaps...the battery operated ones that the big trawlers use are stated to improve there catch by twenty percent....they are around the $35 each...just screw them together and drop em to the bottom or where you are fishing...green works best and the only take 2 aa batteries which last for ages....
Go to bull dog gear are excellent to deal with and have great discount prices....i also buy 2mm aluminium crimps off them for making up traces...3000 crimps for about $110....now that is cheap....have a look they have good quality gear ....cheers

Thanks Snelly - I will be on to that asap
I folled around with glow sticks just one season from the woody point jety. I was taking the kids down for a play around with the choppers. Float and glowstick. kinda embarressing but it worked just fine.
The point is, I soon got sick of the price of the little buggers (the glowsticks, not the kids), and ended up buying a couple hundred on ebay. They were cheap as chips. The very small ones can be hard to find (well they were then anyway), but they are there.
cheers
