    can't stay logged in

    Hi there,

Firstly, the upgrade is fantastic, thankyou.

Since the upgrade, if I leave the computer for more than around 15 minutes, sometimes less, I have to re enter my name & password before I can use the site as a member, this did'nt happen before the upgrade.

Now, I am not very computer savvy, so it's probably my fault but I need help to solve the problem.

    Thankyou Roz.

    Could be a cookie issue

Try this - go to http://www.ausfish.com.au/vforum/mycookies.php

This will display all the cookies on your computer, select all the tick boxes on the left hand side, then click on the "Delete My Cookies" button. You will most likely have to scroll across the screen to see the button at the bottom of the list.

You will then have to log back in, make sure you Tick "Remember Me?"

Let me know how it goes.

    Re: can't stay logged in

    I do clear the cookies.

I don't want to use the 'remember me' option if I have a choice.

Today, for example, I logged in, answered & sent a pm or two, left the room for about 20 minutes leaving Ausfish up on the screen, when I came back to I had to log in again.

Maybe it's an issue with my computer, seems I will have to use the remember me option.

    regards r.

If you do not use the remember me option the system will use a session based login cookie and it will time out. It is set for 30 minutes.
