    wello plastics session

Just got back from holidays and have been itchin to get out and give the plakkies ago,so went out this morning and gave it a crack.Soon as we flicked em in, we were on. Thought it was gonna be a classic session...but not to be. Kept 2 fish which were about 45cm and caught and released alot that were just on 35. Got steam trained by 1....thats the way it goes. i guess if you get bricked by one...thats what keeps you goin for the next trip. wasnt such a bad one tho with 2 good fish. sorry gents no pics.

I was out from wello today, took my light gear out for a fun trip, stradic 1000 loaded with 6 lb fireline on a 7ft2 2-4kg dropshot, had a ball fighting squire on that outfit and i recomend to anybody to lighten up on the gear, have some fun and keep a couple and let most of them go, i headed back at 7am into a nasty south easter having caught quite a few, only downside was scaling a squire in my esky and spiking myself in finger, ended up with 3 stiches as spike was 1.5cm and right in and had to be cut out, wont be doing that again let me tell ya.

I've gotten so sick and tired of scaling fish I just try and fillet everything.

Been a long time since I had a whole fish on the grill.
You say fish, I say yes please.

Was fishing dawn on Wello reef from my kayak on Friday, had a couple in the esky, my mate (from his yak) dropped two. There were about 6 or 8 boats anchored and fishing, when someone went right through the middle of us all at about 30kts, shutting down the bite completely - what is so hard about showing just a little consideration, and driving by 100m wider?

what are the best placcies for wello and what methods are best for targeting them, do you just drift and jig or cast and retieve whilst jigging?

No matter what part of the bay your fishing its better to drift the area your fishing making the most use of wind and current to maximise your time over the productive reef your fishing, cast and give 3 bumps up then let it sink and wind your slack and then repeat.

    I'm with you DUYZ72!

Hey TFISH, what SP's did the damage?

CHROME, that is just a minor example of some of the twits on our waterways - not surprising given some of the twits on our roads really!!

ALLEYCAT, on the money there! YELLA, we normally use Berkley Gulps/Powerbaits however i know others who do well on Zooms too...

    Take Care T
