Sounds like my experience driving taxis, man I used to get lost in those same bloody rabbit burrow suburbs. I'd get the sweats, the mad stares trying to read street signs, and I thought I was broad minded..until I met t hepeople that come out to play in some areas late at night lol..
And as for your missing street in ipswich, i know of one just like it at braken Ridge. I'm sure the kids in that street used to call cabs just to stir up the drivers.
man that all brings back memories.
rob
It was your singing mate.
Or haven't you washed the boat for awhile (again) to get all the pilly and old bait pong out??
If you fellas think places are hard to find in the suburbs you should be a tradey in the bush and get directions to properites sometimes.
ie Second on the left after the big wattle with the dead roo and old Falcon rim beside it. And this is after driving 200 odd kms the otherside of Gundy
One day after a huge storm a poor old cow cocky gave us directions to get to his place (between Lismore and Tatham. Gidday George ) and after 3 hours trying to find him we used reverse psychology (ie directions to get us out). Got us there in 3 shakes of a lambs tail.
Cheers

Good report Charlie. Or perhaps they would be better named 'short stories with a fishy bit somewhere'.
I was on child minding duties on Wed, so decided to take them for "a quick fish" from Wello to the sandhills chasing the spotties. Now i know who's pots i nearly ran over. I got nothing spotty either, but did scramble a few of those bonito that were hanging in the little bay there. also took the kids into the shallows for a decent feed of yting b4 letting them run up the dunes. Only just got the boat out of the shallows with the falling tide. was VERY close.
cheers
Damo
Went to the sand hills on Thursday with a similar result except for a moderate southerly blowing. Ended up dredging a few doggies at shark spit and a few more at the four beacons. Should have gone home then but went searching further north clocking up another 60kms for no result and had a wild trip home with winds gusting to 25kms. But then you never ever know if you never ever go.

omg write a book, this is for reports
Ah well being a newcomer, you do not yet appreciate the joke.
I did write a short report once showing just the pictures (which have not transferred across to the new chat platform) at http://www.ausfish.com.au/vforum/showthread.php?t=90102 but the popular request was that I continue with the waffly meandering stories which always end up with my catching fish against all odds. Hehehe!
People who cannot read are allowed to go straight to the pictures.
