    Fiberglass Live Bait Tank

    Hi Team.

I wish to convert my fg seat boxes into one(1) 80L live bait tank.

    FG is 2mm thick.

WOuld this fg box withstand the internal pressures of 80L of salt water?

    Hi Billy

    any photos of seats?

Have you thought about a baffle or divider to slow water slosh or just use 1/2 tank when needed?

80kg of water is a lot of weight so trim will be a factor

    Cheers Murf

    Good point Murf.

Maybe I should just use these boxes as storage instead?

Are you sure 2mm? I cannot imagine a glass box designed to take weight of a person being only that thickness.

Without seeing it,,,, if it was me and if it was strong enough to sit on, I would do it as it should be able to handle it. But if suss, I would take the view of what is the worse that could happen? Probably just crack and end up with water on the floor and dead livies.

I agree, you would probably only half fill it anyway.

    THanks Ceech.

    4mm not 2mm - sorry.

Do u think the slosh factor woudl be too much for the livies, etc..?
