    Cairns Charter

    Going up to Cairns for a week over Easter . Flying up and they tell me that I can't take the boat . Missus says I can have one day leave pass so can anyone recomend a good reef charter for day or o/nite .

    Any replies much apreciated

    Depends on what you are after, either "sportfishing charter" or typical reef charter. Have a look at www.fishingcairns.com.

    Hi Buggerit - a few months back I took my Dad out with Fishing The Tropics and had a great day in the Cairns inlet; their web site is here. They also do day trips reef fishing as well which is what you are after.

    When you get up here, if you want to go for a land based trip one day, more than happy to take you out or if you want to go halves in a hire boat - keen for that as well (works to about $39.00 a piece for all day), I have a cast net so bait won't be an issue.

    We'll both have to get a day pass from the "ministry for finance" for that one I think

    Dr_Dan also suggested Fishing Cairns - a great place to start looking, by all means look there as well.
