DI and Rainbow Beach closure (?)

Went for a run up to Double Island Point today, from Noosa, and noticed a sign where you go onto the beach at First Cutting. The sign says "the beach between Freshwater and Rainbow Beach will be closed from low tide on February 7th." No mention of how long the closure will last.
Does anyone know what's going on? Is it to allow the removal of the Cherry Venture?
I was going to camp up there for a week, starting on the 7th - not any more.

Hey Freeeedom, here is an ectract from the EPA website

Due to advanced deterioration and the risk to public safety, the wreck of the Cherry Venture will be removed from Teewah Beach. Works
will be carried out between 5 February and end of March. While these works are in progress, access past the wreck via Teewah Beach will
be restricted – depending on conditions, travel may be possible one hour either side of low tide. Visitors should seek alternative routes to
avoid lengthy delays. Heavy machinery will be in operation – keep well away and obey all signage.

I didn't think it was closed altogether

Thanks Liltuffy - at least that confirms the reason and a possible time line. Obviously they are going to cart it away over Rainbow Beach. You wonder what the heavy machinery will do to the boards on the track over DI. Yesterday there was a fair drop at the end of the boards on the Noosa side of the DI track. A number of vehicles were getting stuck trying to get up it. There was an end-loader pulling a couple of them out when I went past
    Cheers Freeeedom
