    Ballina Jack

Hit my Jack creek again this morning on the run in tide. Was hard going at firat but managed a 50cm Jack to make it all worthwhile. Hes free harrasing Bait fish again. Only my 2nd Jack of the season and they have both been 50cm's. Happy with the size but a few more fish would be nice!!!

Nice fish mate ive got a few this year but am yet to break 50. Ive had a few in the net and thought theyd go but always pull up just short of the mark.

Nice solid red fish. Cheers Whytey

Nice one Joe............but I'm more impressed by the fact that you can post full size pics as opposed to thumb nails,I'd ask how you do it but it would go straight over my head.

Cheers Guys, Was good to get another one my first Jack of the season was months ago!!!
Pat the pics are hosted on another site (photobucket) so there images not attachments to posts like the thumbnails. Prolly drives the Dialup users crazy but ahwell im to lazy to attach them.
Whytey, This ones just under 50 too... Close enough for me though.

A nice effort with the Jack, well done! I remember seeing a photo of a Jack that was caught off the jetty in a tackle shop in Ballina, which was an absolute snodger! The photo was getting a bit old but there must be some quality fish there.

I did a fair bit of work in Ballina 15-20 year ago and recall a mounted Jack in a shop (might have been a pub!) that went 8KG! Massive.

In one of my (old) fishing books they recall a jack being caught on a frozen prawn down there. It went 11kgs on the scales

    Nice fish by the way.
