    Re: Ballina Jack

Gday all, this is my first post so hi to you all.
just had to tell my Ballina Jack story. living in Alice Springs now means i dont get home much, but managed to get back in march for a few weeks. Dad and I grabbed our flick rods and due to the almighty Ballina winds settled for shelter under a bridge to soak some baits for bream, relax, chat and catchup, and if we managed a fish, then bloody good. Nothing for an hour and a half, not even a bite when whack, my little flicky with 4pound mono! is bending like a gymnast and im calling the biggest bream in the world( it was night ). A bit of a tussle, dragged him out of the rocks once or twice, flicked him up on rocks, put the head torch on and saw the red glow of my first Jack! Elated was an understatement, i think they heard me at Lismore! Anyway, 49cms, 4pd mono and a strip of squid made my one fishing trip for the year an absolute blinder. Enjoy what youve got coasties.
    Cheers, AL
