    Question colour sounders

i have recently brought a new sounder Navman-it had the best pixel count in mono at the time-i find it difficult to read sometimes in the sun.I have a centre console with t top so there is only limited shade.i have thought about putting a cover of some kind over it or maybe buying a cheap colour sounder.are colour sounders much better to read in the sunlight.
    any help would be appreciated

    thanks
    dave

I bought a peice of smokey tan perspect and moulded it to shape using a heat gun to fit nicely over my sounder which stopped the same problem as yours. Mine is a colour sounder.

    Eimeo,
There is a software upgrade that fixes contrast issues for the F4432/33 models. Which model do you have?

The softgware basically allows you to be able better change the contrast once the screen heats up. some delears can upgrade the software for you by the serial programming box.
One other question, does your lcd have a purplish tint? and does the lcd go all dark on very hot days?

    Thanks,
    Navman Tech.
