Thread: spots dogs snaps jack

  1. #16
Jason except for one the spotties averaged 92-96cm.
Neil didnt use the D.R just skirted pillies with a small sinker to get it down in the water collumn a little, plus a gold rapala.
Average depth was around the 9-11m mark.
The Jack was a reef jack, and yes was a big susprise.
Yes Adam was me, saw glass cuddy with ausfish stickers, and a tinnie that looked liked yours, but wasnt sure.
Trolling pillies didnt work until you got them down a little deeper, then they got smashed.
To the power cable smasher, tough bickies mate, weather sat not looking crrash hot at present for our offshore bash.
Charlie you should have come instead of going out and feeding ya face. hehe
    regards

Ah well - feeding my face was not so bad - had not seen my mate for a while and a nice relaxing feed with very cold beer or two in hand is not the worst way of idling away the day.

This was a bloke who I had worked with in corporate life 15 years ago and he made the interesting observation that you don't see many guys in their fifties in corporations any more - where have they all gone? Where have lots of things gone - like those jelly bean Mazda 121 cars that were everywhere a few years ago - they have just disappeared - same for those ugly Ford Falcons with the vertical grills of a few years ago - they were everywhere; now I never see any. Where have they all gone? Much like when I go fishing for spotties - they are everywhere around me at times - but then they are all gone. Ah, life is so complicated.

Mate - you sure know how to pick the days to go to that side of the Bay. I was thinking of going that way this morning but I won't be going in my little Quinnie with the winds that are there at this time of the day as shown below.

    Hey Brian,

That Glass cuddy was me... If I had have recognised your boat - we would have said G'day instead of acting bored and disinterested as if we werent catching anything.... working on a report now.
