best bass surface lure

Fizzers have been the most successful surface lures for me, particularly fishing around under water snags, where minnows are not an option.

One thing I will have to mention here, is that I did catch my 'smallest'....yes smallest bass on a fizzer late on afternoon.

The game little fish was actually smaller than the fizzer...true story!!!! Just goes to show what sort of fighting spirit bass have.

I have to agree with Leigh77 - Hula Poppers is the way to go

At Maroon Dam where mighty midgets rule I regularly catch Bass over 40cm on them.

They have a great body roll when you twitch them, a loud bloop and have an awesome splash down - sends ripples out for miles
