nice fish there mate
cheers dave
Not only did you catch the jack , but the bream and cod in the same session? Or different sessions? If it was the same session, that's excellent going!!
Well done!

ye mate i got 3 legal bream, 4 cod (all quite small biggest 25) a whiting and then the jack
Black bream are probably their closest at the Pin, but I don't have a boat either so that's out. You need locals to point out the spots usually as blackies don't usually turn up just anywhere.
If you have a car, there used to be a couple of good spots up the Sunshine coast for black bream...Caloundra along the board walk and the rock wall at Mooloolaba I think. I do know they are around at The Tweed and Ballina araes in Nth NSW too.
I've never had much success with B/B fishing, couldn't get the weed to stay on long enough.
I noticed for the first time yesterday as I was a passenger travelling south over the Gateway Bridge that there are pontoons just downstream of the bridge that look inviting and could be worth a try if you are allowed near them. I think they might be the moorings for Raptis?

i was at the brunswick river today and there were loads of fish around but they just wouldn't take my sx40. there were quite alot of black bream aswell.
Excellent, at least they were there.
Isn't it frustrating when you can see the things and they won't take a bait.
I was at Tallabudgerra Ck over New Years and one day I was amongst a patch of mid size bream and leatehr-jackets beleive it or not and all I got was bashed by alousy otopus. He flew out from a rock and took my Gulp pogy and went back. I pulled and the line went twang and there the little pogy stayed. I hope he got indegestion little bugger. At least he didn't get any of my lures, I just changed to the Gulp not 5 minutes before this.
Never caught an occy before and it was a sight to see.
I hadn't seen such large leatehr-jackets so close in either before. I know they fish for them in NSW alot but these looked easy 20cm or so, almost as big as the few bream I could see, dammed if I could get any interested in the Gulps though.
ye i went to talebudgra and didnt really like it too much...most of the days i got bored and jumped off the bridge
