Carrying surf rods on your wagon

Are you sure banshee? and since when? I have been pulled up for RBT with 4 rods in the holders and the copper asked me about where i was fishing????

I have rod holders on the bull bar and just have them set up so the rods and or tackle dont touch the roof at all,dont know why you need a roof rack as well. I've done this for 20 or more years with no damage to rods at all.

Hi Barry, do you mean just the butt of the rod goes in to the holder and the rest just swings in the air just clearing the roof. I suppose I should have been a bit clearer in that carrying the rods is along the beach fishing from gutter to gutter. I just thought it would have been a bit stressful on the rod in the butt area.

Adjust the holders so the rods dont touch the car, i have small ocky strap over top of the reels holding them in place. Never had a problem yet but be carefull pulling into or out of the carport.
