G'day Yamp,
I have my cranking battery in the spot under the floor and the deep cycle for the electric in a battery box that sits on the floor just in front of the extension I did to the front casting deck. The battery box is held down with a strap. I am at work at the moment, when I get home I'll post up a pic for you.
Cheers

thanks for the replys jt and dan,I had a similar set up with box screwed to floor but was thinking of doing something like the cranking battery box to get it out of the way ,looks like you have modified your casting deck jt?looks good any pics thanks again Yamp

No worries Yamp - what I think I'll end up doing is extending the casting deck further back but having the front open so I can keep the battery under the extension and slide tackle bags and things under and out of the way. Here is a link to some some picks of the reno from and old post. - http://www.ausfish.com.au/vforum/sho...00+hornet+reno
Hope that link works - if not just do a search on 400 hornet reno.
Cheers
John
