Carp in Moogerah Dam?
There have been reports of carp in Moogerah Dam - SE Qld.
If any one sees or catches one there, please firstly end the fishes life & secondly tell somone about it. Please call Qld Fisheries as they are keen to find out if the stories are true.
There are goldfish in there, these are NOT carp. To be a carp then need to have the rather noticable whiskers or barbels around the mouth. Goldfish seem to have zero impact upon our native waterways, but destroy them too if you get one.

Fitzy..

FITZY
i got in touch with the bloke that found that one floating in the dam and he said that it was a carp not a gold fish
he seems to remember that it could have been around the 25 to 30 cm mark
so to me it was to big for some one to be trying to use it for live bait as iv,e heard they get upto out west
good luck hope they don,t find any more
