    Red Fin (need license )

Here in the West if you catch a Red Fin , you are not to return it to the water because they are classed as a introduced pest
So why must one have to have an inland fishing license to help rid our water ways of these fish ( at least keep numbers down abit ) . Last weekend there was a R Fin fishing comp , my mate could not enter because he did'nt have a license ' and did'nt want to purchase one , that he would be lucky to use twice a year . Maybe they could have day passes or something for a dollar or two . Is it the same for the East of our country ? It certainly puts coastal fishers off dropping a line in the fresh stuff ( but maybe thats a good thing , keep the fresh water ways for those of us that enjoy & appreciate them the most ) any thoughts on the subject ???

    G'day Fozz.
    I see your point.
In most other states you can buy a 3 or 5 day lisence for about $5-10 - which is like buying a bag of bait and well worth getting for the sake of the good times you have at fishing comps with mates!

Doesn't WA have something like this??

    Cheers, NS
