    tackle for bass fishing.

    hi all
    iam interested in getting more into bass fishing.can ayone suggest what type of tackle i would need being line class rod weights reels etc.
    also any reccomendations would be appreciated.

    I use 6 pound fireline, half the fun is when these fellas slam the lure, can't beat the feel of the bites through the low stretch lines, great fun, bass being a small fish they are catchable on any rod and reel really, but like most things performance and cost are really irrelevent to some.

    You should be able to get a good spinning outfit for around the $100.

    Nothing wrong with using 3Kg mono if braids and gelspuns are not in your budget.

    Throw in a few lures from surface to deep and you should be set.

    Your local tackle shop should be able to advise you.
