windamere dam
can anyone tell me if there is any action at windamere and burrendong dams.i am heading up that way in a couple of weeks. cheers mongrel

i was up there the other week and i got 4 yellas and a silver and my mate got 5 yellas and a cod. all on divers spinning from the shore
all fish were caught on brown/black lures fished around rocks. also other people were catching fish on slow retrieved black spinnerbaits.
it would pay to use dark lures as these have always produced the goods for me and many other have told me this too.

ps the cod was around 5kg and the biggest yella was 6.5kg and the silver was plate sized and tasted great.
all other fish were released.
the gear that we used was 6kg tortue line loaded on spinning outfits.

gday was up there on the weekend and got a smallish cod about 600mm the fight was better than the easterns ive caught the same size and was caught on the same outfit. 8lb line with a killa lure river rat in brown.

I have a caravan on the foreshores of Burrendong and at present the water level is at 10%.
Some yellow belly of around the 6kg have been caught latley trolling and on worms from the bank.
